Working with Stefan Georgi: 3 Game-Changing Copy Lessons š
Hereās what I learned from one of the best in the game...
Hey there! š
I know Iāve been quiet for a couple of weeks. š¬
If Samar (my coach) knew, she'd probably give me a talking-to⦠(Shh, letās keep this between us, okay? š )
Consistency is key, and I promise I havenāt forgotten that.
But hereās why Iāve been a little MIA: I landed my dream gig! š Iāve been working with Stefan Georgi since the end of July, and let me tell you ā itās been game-changing.
(Living under a rock and donāt know who Stefan is? Heās one of the most successful copywriters and the founder of Copy Accelerator, a top-tier mastermind for copywriters and entrepreneurs. Oh, and heās also the genius behind the RMBC method. Basically, a legend in the world of copy!)
Now, I canāt spill all the beans (thanks, NDA life), but I can share 3 incredible lessons Iāve learned from Stefan. These are the kind of tips thatāll flip the way you think about copywriting.
Lesson #1: Forget about pushing the sale every time.
Yep, you heard me. You donāt have to include a CTA in every single email. When youāre sending out daily newsletters, itās not always about selling.
Stefanās all about the long game ā getting people comfortable with clicking on links that arenāt salesyā¦
Think articles, cool videos, or interesting research about a product.
The goal? Keep them engaged and curious, so that when you finally drop that sales link, theyāre more than ready to click. š”
(This one really changed how I thought about emails ā turns out, not every email needs to ask for something back.)
Lesson #2: Get straight to the point.
Stefan had been copychiefing me for these emails, and Iāve always had a habit of building up stories and weaving in long narratives.
Stefanās way? Totally different. (At least for this brand.)
He believes in cutting straight to the point, no fluff.
Why? Because it keeps the reader engaged. No oneās got time for endless build-up. Getting to the point fast means you hold their attention long enough to actually deliver your message.
Plus, it shows respect for their time ā making your copy tighter and more effective. š„
Lesson #3: Always be testing.
A couple of times, when in doubt, Stefan asked us to test things out. You never really know what works best until you put it to the test.
Different headlines, different CTAs, even different email structures ā itās all about gathering data and seeing what resonates most with your audience. š
Testing isnāt just helpful ā itās essential for growth and getting those wins.
As of September, our average email open rates are 55.34%, and our emails are consistently generating revenue. š
Not bad, right?
